Statement About The Cancellation of the Pemberton Music Festival

We are disheartened to learn about the cancellation of the Pemberton Music Festival and Path To Pemberton concert scheduled at Imperial Vancouver. Despite the bankruptcy of Pemberton Music Festival, the Imperial team worked very hard in an unsuccessful attempt to avoid the cancellation of this Saturday’s July Talk performance.

In the past few days, we have heard the concerns of loyal festival supporters who purchased tickets and likely won’t receive refunds. We are truly sorry you will miss out on another show on Saturday. This bankruptcy also has a great impact on the many local small businesses and event production professionals contracted to provide services for the festival.

Our staff and venue will all feel this financial loss. We understand that this is a small inconvenience in comparison to the financial hardship faced by the many event industry employees without work this summer and businesses who turned down other opportunities to be a part of this year’s festival.

Imperial’s parent company, a production supplier, will also face a considerable loss due to the cancellation. This is an unfortunate hit to the fans as well the industry as a whole.
